In today’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah episode Bhide tells Babu Chipke and his brother to finish the painting work till tomorrow morning as he has taken guarantee of their work. Babu Chipke tells Bhide to relax as they will do the work on time. Bhide comes home and Madhavi asks what Babu Chipke said. Bhide says that they will complete the work before Diwali. They both become very happy and decide this year’s Diwali with full enthusiasm. Komal gives sweets and farsan for breakfast to Hathi. He becomes very happy and he tells her that real enjoyment of eating this will be on Diwali days in their new painted Gokuldham society. They both enjoy breakfast and Hathi appreciates Komal for making tasty breakfast.
Then in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Popatlal prepares Diwali farsan and he tells God that this year also he is preparing farsan alone. He tells God that he is lonely, especially during festival days. He prays to God that next year he should prepare farsan with his wife. Then he receives a phone call from a marriage bureau and he thinks that it is about a marriage proposal but the receptionist says that she has left that job and now she works in a bank. She asks Popatlal if he wants any loan. Popatlal says that he only wants a wife and nothing else. Taarak removes books to do its puja. Babita and Iyer decide which rangoli design to draw and Roshan and Sodhi decide which lanterns to hand in the balcony. Jethalal gives Diwali bonus cheques to Bagha and Natu Kaka. They both think that Jethalal made their income double and they both start dancing.
Lastly in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Jethalal tells them that it’s the check of their income and bonus together. Bagha and Natu Kaka ask Jethalal when he will increase their income. Jethalal answers later on. Gogi shares his Diwali farsan and sweets with Tapu Sena. Bhide and Madhavi open the door as the doorbell rings and it was a courier boy with two parcels. Sonu tells them that she ordered it and tells them to open it. Bhide opens a kurta and Madhavi opens a saree. They both ask her why she brought this. Sonu tells them that they told her to buy whatever she wanted on Diwali so she brought these gifts for them. Bhide asked her where she brought money. She tells them that she saved her pocket money and bought them gifts. They both become very happy and feel proud of Sonu. Babu Chipke shocks Bhide and Madhavi by telling them that colouring is done but the bamboos will not be removed as the contractor went to his village to celebrate Diwali.
