At first, GPS continues to tell Preesha about his son Venkatesh/narrative, Venky’s and then cuts to a flashback in which Vasu walks to Venky’s room late at night to see if he’s sleeping or not, but finds him nowhere else in the house. She runs out to see Venky walking on the terrace wall, about to tumble down and commit suicide, when she hears neighbours calling her and GPS. When GPS hears her voice, he runs out and begs Venky to come down. Venky claims that he has ruined their dignity and that he will commit suicide as a result. Venky’s procedure was performed by his friend Dr Iyer, but according to the brain scan report, Venky has a skull fracture and would not live for long. Vasu will suffer every day till Venky dies, according to Dr Iyer, thus it’s best if he tells her Venky is no longer alive. Venky is no longer alive, according to Dr Iyer.

At a flashback, GPS confesses that Venky is redeemed by God’s grace and that he has been keeping Venky in this mental health centre for the past ten years on Dr Iyer’s advice. According to GPS, he used to lie about travelling on an official trip to meet Venky, but it became more difficult after his retirement. He discloses that Dr Radha is Dr Iyer’s sister, and she is treating Venky with her US experience, and Venky is now speaking and normalising. Vasu enters Venky’s chamber, expecting only Venky to address her in this manner, and is surprised to discover him alive. Preesha tells him about Venky and tells him the whole tale, saying she’s not sure how Amma will react when she sees Venky.
