Ingredients for Jalebi
3 cups of all-purpose flour
2 cups of hung curd
½ cup ghee
½ teaspoon cardamom
½ cup of cornflour
½ pinch baking soda
A pinch full of saffron
3 cups of sugar
3 drops of vanilla essence
2 cup sunflower oil or any cooking oil
3 cups of water
½ teaspoon of edible food color

Instructions
Step 1
To make easy crispy jalebi at home first mix all-purpose flour, cornflour, and baking soda in a bowl. Mix it well and then add the ghee and food color to the dry ingredients and mix well.
This mixture needs to be thicker so add hung curd to the mixture and mix it well, keep on adding water until the mixture is thick but has a flowing consistency to it. Keep it aside for 8 to 10 hours for fermentation.

Step 2
It is time to make the sugar syrup, heat water in a pan and add sugar over medium flame until the sugar has completely dissolved in the water and has stirring consistency.
To this mixture add saffron, cardamom powder, and vanilla essence and mix well.

Step 3
Take the batter that has been resting and put it in a muslin cloth and poke a small hole. Take oil in a pan to deep fry the jalebis. Once the oil is hot enough squeeze the cloth to make circles from inside to out. This step will take some time but fry the jalebis until they are crisp and golden.

Step 4
When the jalebis are old fried soak them in the sugar syrup for not more than 3 minutes. Remember that the syrup needs to be lukewarm and not very hot.
Jalebis are ready to be served.
