Everyone, Adele is back! She confirmed the imminent release of her next song, “Easy on Me,” on Oct. 5 via social media. She also tweeted a teaser trailer for the video with the news.
The disturbing black-and-white footage shows her turning on the car radio, which begins to play smooth-sounding music. Hundreds of pages of sheet music flutter around in the backseat as she drives carelessly with her hand out the window.
Adele’s new album, 30, is set to be published before the end of the year, and this will be the first single from it. It will be the singer’s first album since November 2015, when she released 25. Since then, Adele has been separated from her ex-husband, Simon Konecki, whom she divorced in 2019.
Adele is known for her devastating breakup songs, and this album is sure to be chock-full of them! Adele, on the other hand, appears to have found happiness again following her breakup. She began dating Rich Paul, a sports agent, earlier this year. We’ll have to wait and see if a new love interest inspired any of the songs on 30!
