Since its debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has gained popularity. The group’s outstanding Coachella 2019 performance was one of the factors contributing to their enormous fame in the West. They made history as the first K-pop girl group to open a show. The Album, the first studio album from Korea by the four-member girl group, arrived at number two on the US Billboard 200. In addition, since Danity Kane’s self-titled debut album in 2006 and their second album Welcome to the Dollhouse in 2008, The Album has been the highest charting album by an all-female group. As if those accomplishments weren’t impressive enough, Coachella gave BLACKPINK access to international friendships and musical exchange. Here are five Hollywood stars who have friendships with the South Korean female group.

Since 2016, Jaden Smith has admitted to being a lover of K-pop. On Twitter, he voiced his admiration for BIGBANG member G-Dragon, who then indicated his desire to collaborate with Smith. Even while that project hasn’t yet materialized, Jaden Smith’s connection with BLACKPINK has. Smith and the Kill This Love quintet first spoke at Coachella in 2019. Soompi speculates that this may not be the first time they had spoken. In order to promote After Earth, Jaden Smith went to YG Entertainment in 2013 with his father, Will Smith. The Smiths appeared to have interaction with the girls even though this was before the group’s debut.

The chemistry between Dua Lipa and BLACKPINK is palpable. The Levitating vocalist initially came into their lives when she gave a concert in Seoul. Since then, Lipa has worked with female K-pop stars to produce the 2018 smash hit Kiss and Makeup. BLINKs were thrilled when the band performed the song at their 2019 concert in Newark with a special appearance by Dua Lipa. Dua Lipa and the girls, notably Jennie, have been seen hanging out and growing a true friendship apart from their working relationship. At Lipa’s LA concert on March 23 this year, Rosé was observed having a good time and taking in the music.

After Rosé’s beautiful cover of Halsey’s song, “Eyes Closed,” the two became friends on social media. How You Like That has long been a favorite band of Halsey. When getting her makeup done, she recorded a video and jammed it out to the smash song DDU-DU DDU-DU. As it happened, Halsey and Rosé were both in the French city at the same time, and they met up in Paris. Along with sharing photos on Instagram, they shared a meal together. Fans anticipate that this lovely connection will lead to potent cooperation, but it is uncertain when that will occur.

The singer of 7 rings has long been a favorite of BLACKPINK. Ariana Grande has received praise from the Lovesick Girls, who have even recorded covers of some of her songs. In response, Grande said she was aware of the four-girl band and desired to meet them at the 2019 Coachella event.
