Today marks a very special day for all fans of Indian cricket as on exactly this day in the year 2011, India had defeated Sri Lanka in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup to lift the trophy for the second time after 1983. It was an eventful night indeed as despite losing Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag early, India fought the game till the very end and special heroics from Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni helped India secure a big win.
