Virat Kohli and Ricky Ponting are two individuals who individuals who believe in playing the game hard and they play to win. This often results in their aggressive on-field nature and that’s exactly what we saw during the second game between RCB and DC this season.

R Ashwin suffered a niggle due to which he went off the field after bowling his quota of overs. While Ricky Ponting defended the decision saying that he’s off the field due to an injury, Virat Kohli and co. at RCB thought that was not fair as he bowled his quota of overs. Regarding the incident, Ashwin was quoted by India Today as saying,

“I had a back problem when I ran. It was a terrible pain. They took MRI scans and it was traced to a nerve pull on my back. I went off after bowling. The opposition thought, I bowled 4 overs and went in. They asked ‘How can that be done?’.

“Ricky, we all know, never backs off from a fight. And when RCB questioned, he said we aren’t like that. It was just at the heat of the moment.”
