Indian cricketer Wriddhiman Saha has been one of the most talented and experienced cricketers in India, especially after MS Dhoni’s retirement. While Saha has always been the preferred choice of Wicketkeeper for Bengal in Ranji Trophy as well as other IPL teams, he was able to cement his position in Test team only after MS Dhoni’s retirement was the spot was vacant.

In the last few years, the spot for a wicketkeeper had been up for grabs and the likes of Wriddhi, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and others have been doing their best to retain their squad.

And now, after getting dropped, Wriddhiman has lashed out against BCCI, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and accused them of double standards.

As per reports in ZEE News, Wriddhiman was quoted as saying,

“The team management had told me that I would not be considered henceforth. I could not tell this so long as I was part of the India team setup. Even coach Rahul Dravid suggested that I think about taking retirement.”

He further added,

When I hit an unbeaten 61 taking a pain-killer in the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur last November, Dada (as Sourav was referred to by Bengal players) congratulated me over Whatsapp.

”He even mentioned that I should not worry about anything so long as he is at the helm of the BCCI. Such a message from the board president really boosted my confidence. But I failed to understand why everything changed so fast.”

Not just that folks, he also shared a screenshot of a disrespectful chat with a ‘senior’ journalist that has shocked cricket fans all over the country. Take a look below –
