Both Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana are great and talented as a batsman. They both have been captains to teams in the Women’s T20 Challenge. Harmanpreet Kaur was the Captain of Supernovas and Smriti Mandhana was the Captain of Trailblazers. So which captain can do a good job as a captain and do their duty for the Indian women’s cricket team?

Harmanpreet Kaur made his debut as a captain of the Indian cricket team in 2013 against Pakistan. She led her team to a victory by defending 81 runs and winning the Asia Cup. She was later named as the captain for ODI in March 2013 when Bangladesh toured India and she scored 195 runs with an average of 97.5 and also took 2 wickets being an all-rounder.

Smriti Mandhana, on the other hand, became the captain for India in the T20s against England in 2019. After Harmanpreet had to sit out with an ankle injury, Smriti at 22 years of age was given the responsibility of captaincy for the rest of the series. She became the youngest T20I captain for India. She has done well as a captain but has a lot more to learn about being a captain. She still faces a hard time to focus on both, the captainship and her batting at the same time.
