Jhulan Goswami, an essential member of the team and an Indian cricket player, was born on November 25, 1982. She is really adept at adding extra bounce. She has good bat control as well. Former captain Jhulan has been replaced as the team’s captain by Mithali Raj.

Assisted India in winning its first Test series in England: During the 2006 Indian Women’s tour of England, Jhulan was a key contributor to India’s first Test series victory by a women’s team in England. She outperformed the English women’s squad and grabbed five wickets in both innings. Her stats were 13-4-33-5 and 36.2-21-45-5 in each of the two innings.

Jhulan has a soft spot for England because she has taken the majority of her 177 ODI wickets against them. She has 63 wickets at an average of 18.64 in 44 one-day internationals against England. Her best limited-overs stats, five for 16, are also against this team.

Jhulan won the 2007 ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year award and was presented with it by MS Dhoni. She was requested to volunteer to serve as the ball girl in the final match between Australia and New Zealand. She made the decision to pursue a career in cricket after watching Belinda Clark, Debbie Hockey, and Cathryn Fitzpatrick, three legendary players in women’s cricket.
