The Indian national cricket team has got a number of great bowlers over the ages. Some were skilled at bouncers, some were good at yorkers and some mastered the art of spins. It is not the batsmen who have played a vital role in the match win, but it is also the bowlers too who were able to flip the match against the opponents. Bowlers like Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja have proved themselves to be the best bowlers of all time in the Indian cricket history. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are currently in the Indian cricket squad under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. But, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja did wonders since when MS Dhoni was the captain. Both Kuldeep – Chahal and Ashwin – Jadeja are called the ‘Spin Twins’ by many critics and fans.
Kuldeep Yadav is a left-arm off leg-spin bowler, whereas Yuzvendra Chahal, is a right-arm leg-spin bowler. The two spin bowlers had very few opportunities to play together, initially. It was 2017 when both appeared together. They were seen together for the first time in the 2018 One Day International (ODI) match against South Africa. The two young spinners did wonders since then with their spinning deliveries on the field.
Whereas, R Ashwin, right-arm off-break bowler and, Sir Jadeja, slow left-arm orthodox bowler are perfect all-rounders the squad has. They have been seen playing since Dhoni’s captaincy. They were highly responsible in the India’s success in the 2011 ICC World Cup. They became the strength of the squad soon and were loved by many.
Both the spin twins have picked a good number of wickets and showed off their spinning skills on the international field brilliantly. But which pair is the best ‘Spin-Twins’ in India? Kuldeep – Chahal or Ashwin – Jadeja?
