Bumrah and Starc are both the most important bowlers for their respective sides. They are both skilled with bowling deadly Yorkers and knocking out batsman’s stumps. Even though Bumrah is the best death bowler, he is so talented that he can adapt to any situation and bowl accordingly. During the first test that was played in Adelaide, Bumrah and Starc were both very impressive.

In the first inning, Starc took 4 wickets for 53 runs at an economy of 2.50 and also bowled 5 maiden overs. He started by cleaning Prithvi Shaw’s weak defence and taking a wicket in the first over itself. Starc later troubled all the Indian batsmen. He took an important wicket of Rahane who had a good partnership with Kohli. In the second inning, he did not take any wickets as Hazelwood and Cummins were already doing a good job.

Bumrah during his first-inning managed to take two important wickets. He started by taking the wickets of both the opening batsmen. He bowled at an economy of 2.50 as well and his spell included 7 maiden overs. If we don’t consider Starc taking wickets of Indian tailenders in the first inning, then Bumrah surely comes out to be better than Starc. In the second inning, there wasn’t enough there for Bumrah to be bowling, but if he had enough runs on the board to defend, we sure would have seen some good stats from both bowlers.
