Gautam Gambhir has been one of India’s most dependable left-handers in the ODI arena. Gambhir is an attacking stroke maker who went about run-scoring at a quick pace. The left-hander formed a deadly opening pair with Virender Sehwag and often played the stabilizer’s role to perfection for Delhi Daredevils in the 2008 IPL. He became the second-highest run-scorer of the inaugural season with 534 runs from 14 matches. By the end of the tournament, he was the sole player from Delhi Daredevils to have scored over 1000 runs in the IPL.
