Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian Captain was appointed as the president of BCCI on 23rd October. However, this news came unanimously when he was elected as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Needless to say, he would be an asset to the throne of BCCI and we have compiled our top three reasons: Why ‘dada’ becoming the President of BCCI is good for Indian Cricket?
1. Boosting Young Talents: Sourav Ganguly always believes in boosting young talents on and off the field. He even claimed on the press conferences after becoming the President saying he will undoubtedly help the youth to proceed up the ladder. Say it Ranji Trophy or Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, every cricketer will be boosted during his rule/rein at the office.
2. No internal politics: Dada likes to keep it simple and clean. Thus, the whole selection and widespread politics will not be taking part during dada’s reign. The system will be transparent and the choices would be justified.
3. Leadership Experience: The 46-year-old, has 5 years of experience leading the CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal) as the President. Not only as a President, even as a Captain he had led his team to in numerous victories, therefore, his experience would come in clutch when leading the Indian Cricket Team.
