Sakshi was interning there and this couple was introduced to each other by Dhoni’s manager who happened to be Sakshi’s friend. Dhoni felt that spark for Sakshi and he tried to contact her. Sakshi thought it to be some kind of a prank as such a well-known cricketer wanting to be friends with her was not quite convincing. Dhoni had to put in a lot of efforts to woo his lady love. Eventually, this beautiful woman fell for India’s most eligible bachelor and they began dating in 2008. She attended the Indian skipper’s birthday that year and Dhoni made it a point to drop Sakshi back so they could spend some quality time together. The couple got engaged on 3rd July 2010 and tied a knot on 4th July 2010 in a quiet ceremony. Many cricketers, Bollywood personalities attended the wedding.
