Sangita Ghosh the talented and seasoned performer is presently enthralling one and all in the lead role of Colors show Swaran Ghar. For Sangita, Rakshabandhan holds special memories and she looks forward to celebrating it in style every year.

Says Sangita, “Rakshabandhan has been a special day for many years now. Everyone who is a sister, who has a brother, feels special. I have a younger brother who is unfortunately not in India now. He has moved abroad and works outside India. We speak over the phone and video call often.”

Sangita remembers her great memories from Rakshabandhan. “I have some amazing memories. When we were kids, we used to look forward to tying rakhi. We did not know the significance of the festival, but always looked forward to the gifts we used to get. Yes, I miss my brother on this day. When festivals get people together, it is a happy occasion.”

She also avers, “This year, Rakshabandhan will be simple. There are no specific plans. We will talk to each other for sure. I will buy a rakhi and keep it for him. When I meet him next time, I shall tie it on him. He needs to protect me whether I tie a rakhi or not (laughs). Similarly, I need to be there for him always. That is how it goes.”

Wishing our viewers a Very Happy Rakshabandhan!!
