Senior actor Manoj Joshi will be seen in an interesting ‘tashan’ between the father-in-law and son-in-law in SAB TV’s newest offering, Mangalam Dangalam – Kabhi Pyaar Kabhi Vaar produced by Ashvini Yardi’s Viniyard Films.

Seen in the role of Sanjeev Saklecha, the self-made and shrewd guy, Manoj Joshi is happy to be associated with the project.

Says Joshi, “I am enjoying this phase of being part of Mangalam Dangalam. And I am sure that viewers will also enjoy the show. This is a very different kind of concept revolving around the father-in-law and son-in-law. This is the USP of the show. The ‘jugal bandi’ that usually is shown between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law on TV has been reversed and the men will be in action here.”

Manoj Joshi has had a vast career in films and has done notable and challenging roles on TV. He was last seen in the role of Chanakya in Chakravarthin Ashoka Samrat.

Talking about his character, he states, “Sanjeev Saklecha is a very possessive father. He is a loving father no doubt, but is very conscious about his daughter Rumi (Manisha Rawat) getting settled in a good household after marriage. In simple words, he is a next door father. Every father will want his daughter to be happy in marriage. He has a back story to being very conscious about his daughter’s marriage. Sanjeev Saklecha’s sister would have gone through a tough marriage. And this would have remained in his mind. He loves his daughter a lot and wants a son-in-law who would match her in all aspects. I am glad that this show does not have a saas-bahu story. This show will bring in a humorous bond between the father-in-law and son-in-law.”

On his offscreen bonding with Karanvir Sharma, Joshi quips, “Karanvir is very good. He is a hard-working actor. He believes in following a realistic pattern while acting. I am enjoying working with him. Our chemistry will look great on-screen.”

Manoj Joshi who has mostly played many serious roles on TV, has never attempted comedy  on the small screen for a long time. “My last TV show in the genre of comedy was Yeh Meri Life Hai on Sony TV. This is a kind of role I have never played before. The best part is that this character is so very relatable. I am sure our show will be loved by one and all. An entire family can sit together and watch the show.”

Wish you all the best!!
