Mitaali Nag, who is playing a traditional ghungat-clad woman in Colors show, Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, now wants to explore her glamorous side, courtesy a web series.

“As an artist, one should always be open to doing all kind of roles. I have done the girl next door and now, the mother. I love TV and will always be ready for good tube roles.”

“A lot of great concept stories are being churned out on the web, which we can’t make due to TV limitations.” Having said that, she will stay away from bold. “It is not because my hubby will not like it. It’s just that I am not comfortable. Hope web makers could stop exploiting the freedom to make virtual porn. Yet, there are equally good digital shows around, which don’t have even one bold scene.”

“One of the reasons for saying yes to Roop was that its concept, where men need to change is the need of the hour. Also, I have no qualms about acting in a ghungat. Let’s face it; there are many traditional women like my character, and as for playing mother, actresses much younger than me have also bit the bullet.”

“Another major reason for saying yes to Roop was that it was my comeback after motherhood. I wanted to see if I could juggle both. I think I can and am now ready for bigger assignments. I am also working out post pregnancy, and will soon be in good shape.”

“I am also looking at films, because today, we have strong characters in ensemble cast films,” she ends.
