Star Bharat’s recent plunge into the entertainment space with its first line-up of programming has indeed been fruitful!!

With shows Kya Haal, Mr. Panchal, Nimki Mukhiya, Kaal Bhairav – Rahasya, Jiji Maa doing really well on the ratings chart and with other shows following suit, there are big plans in store for the channel in the next quarter of the year!!

News coming in is that Peninsula Pictures’ highly ambitious, big-budget periodic fantasy, ‘The King’s Daughters’ which was being made for Star Plus is now being shifted to Star Bharat instead.

Yes, you heard it right!!

A credible source tells us, “With Star Plus undergoing a revamp with few new concepts being thought of, the creative think-tank from the broadcasters’ side found it perfect that the periodic fantasy be beamed on Star Bharat and not Star Plus. Hence the shift has been made with the production and actors being notified of the same.”

We hear that work has finally begun for the launch of the periodic fantasy which has been in the making for a while now.

More fresh developments coming to the fore about the series is that the show has got its final title in ‘Malinga’, after the name of the Kingdon from which the King’s Daughters belong to.

As we know, the show has a very good ensemble cast with Shakti Anand, Monaz Mevawalla, Preet Kaur, Gracy Goswami, Ankit Gupta, Harshad Arora, Vaani Sood, Neha Solanki, Mamik Singh, Divya Bhatnagar, Firoza Khan, Honey Makhani and many others being part of it.

We hear that Malinga, the periodic fantasy will launch in the first week of April on Star Bharat.

We buzzed few actors who are part of the series, but did not get through to them.

We reached out to Producers Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvez (Peninsula Pictures), but did not get revert.

Our efforts to reach out to the channel spokesperson were in vain.

As for Peninsula Pictures, the production has the successful mythological, Paramavatar Shri Krishna presently running on & TV. The Season 2 of Dev is the other much-anticipated show to beam on Colors.
