Smart Jodi the Star Plus reality show that airs on the weekend band of the channel cater to engaging and entertaining anecdotes from the personal and professional lives of the contestant Jodis.
One such frank talk happened between Balraj Syal, his wife Deepti and the host Maniesh Paul. During the serious conversation, Deepti confided that there was a time when she felt that her marriage with Balraj was not working out.
Deepti was in tears when she told everyone that before marriage, she actually liked the being-to-himself attitude of Balraj a lot. However, even after marriage, when Balraj continued to be the same way, being happy in loneliness, Deepti got scared of her future.
Balraj also added in saying that his wife actually suffered silently but never shared her grief with him. He told all that Deepti packed her bags to go back to Punjab, to her parent’s house and he allowed her thinking there was nothing else that was going on in her head.
Balraj actually thanked their stars that he never knew what troubled Deepti at that point in time. Deepti admitted that with time, things got well, and she confided in him all of it much later.
Aah!! This is so painful!! Guess this reminds us to be transparent in marriage.
