The episode of Kundali Bhagya starts with Sarla telling Shrishti that Preeta is arrested on charges of murder. She could be imprisoned for life or be killed as a punishment. So she will question the Luthra family why they are not doing anything to bring their daughter-in-law out of jail. Shrishti tells her that she is correct but doing that will create problems for Preeta while living with the family later. Sarla says that she can do anything to get her daughter to be free, she will sell the house or even sell herself but can’t see Preeta crying.
Mahesh is talking on the phone, Rakhi comes inside with his medicine. He senses that she is tensed and asks her the reason. She says that she is worried for Preeta. Mahesh tells her that he has come out of the coma and assures her that he will take care of everything. Karina enters asking Mahesh why he has called the driver. He says that he has to visit the doctor and check about his health. Karina says that she thought that he was planning to visit Preeta but now feels relaxed. Rakhi asks Mahesh why didn’t tell Karina that he is going to help Preeta. Mahesh responds that some things are meant to be kept a secret, he is indeed going to the ACP to explain their point of view. If the police understand then Preeta will be free. Rakhi tells him that he should talk to Karan as he is mad at Preeta. Mahesh tells her that Karan has taken the lawyer’s number trying to arrange bail for Preeta, but is pretending to be angry as he loves her.
Karan is talking to the ACP trying to explain that Preeta is innocent. ACP tells him to get the proof if he wants to see Preeta out of jail. Karan says that it is the Police’s job to get proof. ACP says that police have arrested the accused and the court will prosecute her at 3 pm the next day. So if he brings proof before that Preeta will be free. Karan’s lawyer comes in, he apologises for not getting the bail as the court was closed. Karan calls him useless and leaves.
Sameer comes to meet Shrishti and apologises for being late. She asks him why he didn’t help Preeta, he says he wasn’t home when it all happened. They see Karan leaving, Shrishti calls him and asks why he didn’t help her sister. He angrily says that if Preeta would have told me before I would have taken care of it. Shrishti tells him to meet Preeta once, he sits in the car and leaves. Sameer tells her not to worry as everyone in the family cares about Preeta and won’t let anything happen to her.
Preeta is sitting in the cell, Sushila comes in and hands her something telling her that Rakhi has sent this for her. Preeta opens it and sees its chocolate shake, she thinks that Karan is angry at her but still secretly has sent this for her. Kritika enters the house, Karina calls her to have dinner. She says she is not hungry. Karina asks her where she had gone. Kritika says she went to meet Preeta and then went to do pooja. Karina says she had told everyone not to meet her. Kritika says she is like an elder sister and she will always support her. Karina says that Preeta broke your wedding with Akshay, Kritika is about, to tell the truth, but then goes to the room. Preeta cries in the cell remembering all the moments spent with Karan.
