Today’s Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai 13 August episode begins with Naina (Ashi Singh) and Preeti placing their babies on the bed. There was a photo of Naina and Preeti’s childhood on the wall behind the bed. Naina and Preeti played with the babies while Sameer (Randeep Rai) and Rakesh looked on. At night, Suman started crying in the middle of the night. Naina wondered if the baby was hungry or was experiencing stomach ache. Rakesh woke up hearing her cry as well. He decided to check himself. He knocked at their door. Sameer told Naina to calm the daughter. Sameer opened the door for Rakesh. He picked her up in his arms. He will show them how kids were pacified. Sameer and Naina got impressed as Suman calmed down in a second. Sameer called him expert. Rakesh replied that he had raised two kids. They can count 3 if he was included Sameer in the list.
He took Suman outside. Sameer and Naina followed him. Rakesh was singing a lullaby. Sameer said she will get afraid of it. Rakesh denied. Sameer brought his guitar. He sang Tu Mera Dil song. Naina picked Suman in her arms. Rakesh, Naina and Sameer sang the song together sweetly. Suman smiled. Next morning, Naina was trying to cook while holding Suman in her arms. Preeti came there. She asked about Sameer and Rakesh. Naina took her to her room. Rakesh and Sameer were still sleeping. They both smiled. Naina shared that Suman didn’t let them sleep the entire night. They were looking after her. Preeti shared that Shubham was going through the same thing. One had to take care of the baby when they werr cooking. She woke up Sameer and Rakesh. They readily offered to look after Suman. Naina asked them to bathe Suman.
Rakesh and Sameer kept making excuses avoiding it so Preeti divided the daytime and night time duties between them. People said it wasn’t easy to be parents. They understood it that day. Everyone’s time table revolved around Suman especially Papa ji’s. He was very pleased with it. Then came the day Suman got her injection. Papa ji experienced more pain than her. Rakesh picked up suman in his arms. Preeti reminded Naina how they used to go quiet seeing Rakesh whenever they got an injection. Naina nodded. Now Papa cried seeing Suman getting injection. Preeti went to drop doctor to the door. Sameer talked to Suman. Rakesh teased Sameer indirectly through Sameer. Naina told Rakesh to rest for a while. They will make her sleep with them. Rakesh denied. He didn’t mind staying awake for her day and night. Naina said he never showered so much love on her. Rakesh said grandkids were more important for grandparents than their own kids. He went through something similar. Preeti reminded them how Rakesh never came with them on any PTM or annual day. She went quiet realising what she just said but Rakesh agreed that this was the truth. He didn’t even take Naina to doctor when she was ill. He never looked after her or her studies. Anand used to do everything for her. He used to take care of her whenever she fell sick. He did more for her than he did for Preeti.
Only he couldn’t do it. It was said that the happiness of kids was of utmost priority in everyone’s life. He missed doing it back then but he will make up for it with Suman. Naina sat next to him. She always saw love and concern in his anger. They wouldn’t have been here if he weren’t here with them today. He hid his emotions and went to bring milk for Suman. Sameer accompanied her. Preeti and Naina sat down to talk about their babies. Naina said they were this small till some time and now they had kids. They shared a hug when Suman cried. Preeti said she was her mother later and her sister first. She can hug her. Naina nodded. Preeti headed home. Rakesh and Sameer discussed about the milk temperature. They used to become parents with experience back in those days but these days, parents had become over protective. Papa ji was way ahead of time. He was also extremely concerned for Suman which surprised them as well. Vanita, Aditya and Tanvi came to meet Suman. Aditya called himself Suman’s Chacha whereas Tanvi called herself Suman’s Mausi. They argued cutely over it but Vanita told them to choose whatever they liked.
Naina made Vanita hold Suman and clicked their photo with Suman. Aditya asked her to give him the negative too. He will also get a poster for his home. Naina nodded. She will also keep all her pregnancy stuff safe. Tanvi smiled shyly. Sameer came back with 2 bags. Naina said there was so much at home already. Sameer said he got branded stuff for their daughter. Naina refused to use any other oil for the baby. She will only use mustard oil. Vanita second Naina’s choice but Sameer insisted upon his choice. Aditya supported Sameer. Vanita told him to ask his mother what she applied on him. Sameer said it might be used earlier but time was changing now. Vanita said time was changing but she was also a mother. She knew what was best for the baby. Naina and Sameer continued their argument.
Naina said she will make the baby intelligent and teach her everything. Sameer told her to stop being a teacher everywhere. She will call her strict when she grows up. Naina said she will slap her if she says something like that. Sameer’s eyes widened in shock. Naina remarked that Chachi ji will be imprisoned for jail and Tai ji should be given death penalty. This was how every kid learned. He was stubborn because of this reason only. Preeti and she were beaten with every possible thing which was why they were so smart. Vanita said even she got scolded when she was a kid. Sameer asked for Suman but Naina did not let go of her. Rakesh took Suman instead. She liked to be with her Nanu. Naina and Sameer looked on. Naina was doing her work when Suman cried. She patted her head and tried to calm her down. Sameer asked her why Suman was crying so much.
