When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said ‘Sexy isn’t considered positive in India…’

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is gorgeousness personified in the true sense of the term. The journey started way back in 1994 after she dominated the Miss World contest and went on to own the title. Since then, she never looked back and after so many years today, she’s the ‘Beloved Bahu’ of the Bachchan clan.

Although a mother to a beautiful daughter, Aishwarya is still gorgeous enough to make men drool all over her. Her ideologies are worth reading and some of them are certainly way ahead of its time, like for example –

“Sexy in India is not considered positive. But, with today’s crop of fresh faces in the modeling arena, being sexy is an asset,” she had quoted to media.

Well, isn’t the statement true? When we say beautiful and gorgeous to a woman, often it is taken in the right spirit. But when we say ‘sexy’ as a compliment, it is often misunderstood as a sexual connotation. Sadly enough, it is still the same in India and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan happened to say this way back in the late 90s. So doesn’t that make her a woman of substance and someone who has the ability to foresee things?
